Biography
Margaret Lawson is a first-year computer science PhD student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a year-round intern with Sandia National Laboratories. Her research focuses on building data management systems for extreme scale scientific simulations with a particular focus on how metadata can be used to accelerate scientific discovery.
Margaret graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in Computer Science, was a finalist in the CRA Outstanding Undergraduate Researchers award and has co-authored 4 workshop papers on metadata management, AMT, and calculated object naming for HPC.
