Biography
Ayse K. Coskun is an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University. She received her MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from University of California, San Diego. Coskun’s research interests broadly span energy efficiency and performance analytics in computing systems, from the design of novel architectures to management of large-scale cloud and HPC systems. Prof. Coskun worked at Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), San Diego prior to her current position at BU. Coskun is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award (2012) and the IEEE Council on EDA Early Career Award (2017), and currently serves as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on CAD. Coskun's collaborative project with Sandia National Laboratories on automated HPC monitoring and analytics so far has resulted in several publications and software artifact releases, as well as a Gauss Award for their paper at the ISC-HPC conference in 2017.
