Biography
Christine E. Cuicchi is the Associate Director for High Performance Computing (HPC) Centers for the Department of Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). As the Associate Director, she is responsible for five DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs) located across the United States which operate a total of 22 supercomputers and provide the DoD with over 44 PetaFLOPS of supercomputing capability. Ms. Cuicchi manages the five DSRCs with an annual RDT&E budget of $95 million and a government and contractor workforce composed of approximately 350 people. She is also responsible for an annual HPC system acquisition process worth $50-60 million, which adds supercomputing capability to the DSRCs and HPCMP in support of the DoD mission. Ms. Cuicchi has been elected the General Chair for SC20, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis.
