Vangel Bojaxhi joined Inspur Co. two years ago and is currently the Global AI & HPC Director of the company. Prior to his involvement with Inspur Co., he served as the Principal IT Solution Architect of Schlumberger/WesternGeco for over twenty years, focusing on the design of large-scale HPC and high-end visualizations systems for seismic data processing, reservoir modeling/simulation and interpretation. He has been involved in the creation and design of the largest and most advanced HPC systems in the O&G upstream E&P, while cooperating with major US manufacturers and staying abreast of the latest technological achievements in the computer industry. He did his undergraduate and graduate studies in computer science at Qinghua University in China and INRIA France. In addition to his role with Inspur Co., he is the acting executive director of the Asia Supercomputer Community (ASC). Vangel lives with his wife in Houston, Texas, USA.
