Biography
Zeyang Ye is a PhD. candidate in the Department of Applied Mathematics & Statistics, Stony Brook University where he also received the bachelor’s degree in 2014. He expects to receive his PhD degree in May, 2019. His research interests include parallel computing, stochastic optimization, and data mining. He currently has four first-authored papers including one in ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD), one in IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM), and one in IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE). He has also given presentations for his papers in both KDD and ICDM conferences. He has received travel awards from KDD2018, SC15 and ICDM2015, IACS Junior researcher award in 2016 and 2017, award of Honor in 2014, and Kugh-Sah Memorial Award in 2013. He has served as an external reviewer for the ICDM, CIKM, KDD, and the Journal of Supercomputing.
