Biography
Alice Koniges is a computer scientist for the University of Hawaii at the Maui High Performance Computing Center (MHPCC) where her interests lie in architecture evaluation, performance modeling and benchmarking, with an emphasis on both traditional scientific applications and newer machine learning applications. She is MHPCC representative on the OpenMP ARB and serves on the program committees for HPC conferences such as SC, ISC, IPDPS, etc. She is associate editor of the International Journal of High Performance Computing and has published more than 100 refereed papers in both applications and parallel computing/programming languages, and has one book, Industrial Strength Parallel Computing. Her PhD is from Princeton University in Mathematical Astrophysics, and she also has an MSE in Mechanical Engineering.
