Denis Barthou obtained a M.Sc. in Computer Science in 1993 from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and a PhD in Computer Science from U. of Versailles St-Quentin in 1998, on fuzzy array dataflow analysis. He was assistant professor at the U. of Versailles and since 2009, he is professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bordeaux, working at the LaBRI lab. in a INRIA team. His main interests are currently code analysis and optimization for high performance computing.
