Ana Jokanovic
Biography
Ana Jokanović is a postdoctoral researcher in the area of high-performance computing at Computer Science Department of Barcelona Supercomputing Centre (BSC), Spain. She graduated from the Department of Electronics, Computer science, and Telecommunications at the University of Montenegro in 2005. She obtained her master degree at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain in 2010. She earned her Ph.D. degree in computer science with the thesis titled “Resource management techniques aware of interference among high-performance computing applications” at the Department of Computer Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2014. From 2006 until 2008, she worked as a network planning engineer at Telenor Montenegro. Since 2008 she works at BSC as a researcher on several industrial and European projects in the area of high-performance computing. During 2012, she worked at IBM Research Lab — Zurich, Switzerland, on modeling of adaptive routing schemes for large-scale network topologies. She received the Best Paper Award at IEEE High-Performance Computing and Communications Conference, Liverpool, UK, the Award for innovation from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Scholarship for Ph.D. studies from Spanish Government. The areas of her scientific interests are performance analysis of parallel programs, interconnection networks, job scheduling and resource management in high-performance computing systems.
