Biography
Jonas Posner is a computer scientist with a passion for High-Performance Computing. Since 2016 he is a full time PhD student in computer science at the University of Kassel in Germany.

After he graduated from school in 2007, he successfully completed a three year apprenticeship as an IT specialist. Afterwards, he started to study computer science at the University of Kassel. In 2016 he received his master's degree and subsequently started his PhD.

Jonas' research interests include programming languages, software architecture and parallel computing, with focus on PGAS languages, load balancing and fault tolerance. In the last two years, Jonas already has been the first author of several peer-reviewed scientific papers. Some of these papers were presented by him at conferences. His first time as a reviewer was at the APDCM Workshop at IPDPS 2018.

Jonas is in the middle of his PhD work and plans for another 1-2 years to complete his doctorate. He finds working in research very interesting and plans to stay in research, possibly as a postdoc in the USA.

Jonas lives with his partner, a crazy kawaii artist, and a cute puppy. He likes to watching soccer with friends, playing video games, doing sports, and enjoying good food, beer and whiskey.
