Dr. Pugmire’s interests are in the analysis and visualization of large scientific data. He has been involved with research and development of visualization methods for over 18 years. He has collaborated extensively with scientists from a variety of disciplines, including astrophysics, plasma physics, climate science, computational seismology, and computational chemistry. He has been part of the VisIt development team for the past 12 years, where he was a chief architect for the flow visualization tools. Dr. Pugmire is also a co-PI for the VTK-m project, which is focused on the development of visualization framework for the massive on-node parallelism on current hardware.
