Mercedes Gimeno-Segovia works on quantum information and technologies, specifically on optical quantum computing and error correction. She received her PhD from Imperial College London and after a brief postdoctoral experience, has ventured from academia to industry targeting quantum computing and joining a startup in the Bay area.
