Biography
Dr. Bruce Hendrickson has spent over three decades as a researcher and leader in high performance computing. He is currently the Associate Director for Computation and Lawrence Livermore National Lab where he heads an organization of around 1100 computing professionals. In his prolific research career (mostly at Sandia Labs) he has developed widely used algorithms and software tools for a wide range of high performance and scientific computing applications. Bruce’s many awards include the SuParCup for his work on parallelizing crash simulations, the SC Test of Time Award for his work on graph partitioning, and the George Cotter Award for vision and leadership in data analytics. He is a Fellow of SIAM and of AAAS.
