Jia Shi is a Ph.D. candidate at the Geo-Mathematical Imaging Group (GMIG) in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences, Rice University, USA. He received his B.S. in geophysics and B.A. in Economics from Peking University, Beijing, China, in 2012. His research primarily focuses on seismic inverse problems, normal mode seismology, and high-performance computing.
