Biography
Dr. Arif Khan is a Scientist in the Data Sciences group at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since August 2017. His research interests include graph algorithm, high performance computing, approximation algorithm along with their applications in bioinformatics, social networks and machine learning. His goal is to explore how approximation algorithms can solve big graph problems using leadership class supercomputers. Arif graduated in 2017 with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. He has received the John Rice fellowship at Purdue, and also won a prize in the ACM student research competition on HPC at Supercomputing 2013.
