Prachi Gupta is a PhD candidate at Stony Brook University. She received her BSc in Mathematics from Miranda House, University of Delhi in 2012 and MSc from Indian Institute of Technology in 2014, Madras. Her interests include modelling, parallel computing, machine learning and applied mathematics. In past she has worked on several research projects in India at National Chemical Laboratory, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research and Indian Institute of Technology. She is currently working on developing a platelet aggregation model for unactivated and activated platelets in shear flows and using the microscale data from the model to derive force laws between aggregating platelets.
