Samer El-Haj-Mahmoud is a Principal Engineer and lead architect at Lenovo Data Center Group, responsible for software strategy, operating systems and integrated solutions technology enablement. He has 20 years of experience in industry standard server development, in the areas of firmware, system software, security, and hardware management. During his career, Samer has led the architecture and development of firmware and embedded system management software technologies that span multiple generations of servers across the industry. He has been an active participant and contributor to industry standards bodies, including the DMTF Redfish Forum, and the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Forum. Samer earned his BE degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, and MS degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University. He holds 17 patents in the areas of firmware and server hardware management.
