Katia Oleinik is Manager of Scientific Programming & Applications in Boston University's Research Computing Group. She works closely with many labs at the Medical and Charles River Campuses to integrate their computational work into BU's Shared Computing Cluster. She has been involved with projects in disciplines such as Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Neurobiology, Physics, Astronomy, Economics, Engineering, Chemistry, and many others. Her expertise in various languages such as C/C++, R, Python, MATLAB, and GPU programming have helped numerous researchers at Boston University to significantly improve efficiency of their code. Katia leads efforts of the Research Computing Applications team in providing support, consulting, training, and software development to the BU researchers community.
