Izaak Beekman (M.A. 2010, Ph.D. 2019 anticipated) is an HPC Scientist at ParaTools, Inc. His research interests include performance tuning, optimization and algorithms for efficient computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and multi-physics simulations. At ParaTools, Inc. he develops the open source TAU Commander performance engineering front-end and workflow manager for the TAU Performance SystemⓇ and works with government agencies and clients to analyze and tune the performance of their HPC CFD and multi-physics applications and modernize legacy Fortran applications. He is a maintainer of OpenCoarrays, the parallel coarray Fortran runtime adopted by GFortran and a Mac Homebrew maintainer in his free time.
