Ahmed Al-Jarro is an experienced Principal Researcher at Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Ltd., London, UK. He has a demonstrated history of working in the academic research and industrial R&D. He is skilled in High Performance Computing (HPC), Numerical Methods, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. He is currently working on the development of novel and large-scale deep learning algorithms applied to solve various technical and industrial challenges as well as bridging the gaps between HPC for Scientific Computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Ahmed has a B.Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering with Spanish and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK. From 2010-2012, he was a Research Fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, (KAUST), Thuwal, KSA. From 2012-2014, he was a Senior Research Fellow at University College London, London, UK. In 2014, he joined Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Ltd., London, UK.
