Elizabett Hillery is the Systems Engineer Manager in Research Computing at Purdue University. Betsy has a Computer Science Degree from the University of Dubuque and a Masters in Business Administration from Purdue University. In her role at Purdue University she is responsible for building and maintaining the flagship community clusters. In 2017, Betsy led Purdue’s newest Community Cluster, Brown, consisting of Dell compute notes optimized for communities running traditional, tightly-coupled science and engineering applications. Betsy has also launched Purdue’s Data Workbench, an interactive compute environment for non-batch big data analysis and simulation. This year she will be bringing an all female team to the 2018 Supercomputing Cluster Competition. Between cluster builds and family life, Betsy enjoys crossfit and reading a good book.
