The Gen-Z Consortium is an industry organization developing an open-systems interconnect designed to provide high-speed, low-latency, memory-semantic access to data and devices via direct-attached, switched or fabric topologies. Founded in 2016, the Consortium has grown to 60 members from all parts of the industry. Gen-Z is a new data-access technology that will allow business and technology leaders to overcome current challenges with existing computer architecture and provide future opportunities for innovative solutions that will be open, efficient, simple, and cost-effective.
